Anti-Aging Make-Up

 anti aging make up

Here is a quick summary of the essential ingredients to turning your makeup clock back a few years.

My key tip is keep it light, using products that have textures that are fresh and dewy. Avoid over use of sparkle and shimmer or colours that are too dark. Look for products with light reflective qualities.

Choose a light to medium coverage base that balances out your skin tone and won’t sit in any lines or wrinkles whilst creating a radiant glow.Bobbi Brown Extra SPF25 Tinted Moisturising Balm £35.00 or Kevin Aucoin The Sensual Skin Tinted Balm £38.00.

Avoid heavy concealers or over use of highlighters. A small amount of light reflective concealer to give under eyes and inner corners a lift. Try YSL Touche Eclat £25.00 mixed with another opaque concealer to achieve your desired result. Dust very lightly with powder on the areas needed only.

Blusher – This is the most effective trick to make you look younger.Creamy sheer blush applied apples of cheek and out to hair line re-create that youthful glow you may have once had, replicating life andvitality. Try Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in Lava £36.50.

Eyes – Apply Lid Smoothie by Clinique £20.50 to create a smooth sheer base over your lid with a bit of pink or lilac in to illuminate and define. Using a fluffy brush blend a mid shade of brown from the outercorner to the centre of the lid. Using a grey eyeliner dot some colour along the upper lash line and blend using your finger or a cotton bud to create a soft line of definition. Avoid anything that create harsh lines or any products with a lot of shimmer or that is metallic as this willbe ageing.

Add your mascara of choice but avoid anything too clumpy or lengthening. Wiggle the wand at the root of your lashes to create fullness. Using a soft pencil or powder to fill in define the brows, keeping it light towards the nose. We like Benefit Browzings Medium £24.50.

Lips – all you are looking to do here is define and shape with a nude liner which is blended over lips, then add a sheer tinted lip balm. Mac Subculture £12.50 is a must have buy.

I’m a makeup artist not a magician, I can’t remove wrinkles but I can help you look younger.
