Brimham Rocks

Brimham Rocks

If the sun is shining, whatever the time of year, whatever the temperature, there can be few more breathtaking places to be than Brimham Rocks.

There are no playgrounds, no miniature trains, rides or bouncy castles in fact there is nothing except rocks but what rocks they are. This truly is a playground created solely by the force of nature.

Whilst not necessarily suitable for the very small, this is a place where children can let their imaginations run wild, hurtling  through the maze of paths, hiding in tunnels and caves and of course conquering their own fantasy mountain range.

And whilst they are immersed in their world of adventure you can take in the stunning views over Nidderdale, breathing in the fresh air and even when the car park looks busy be surprised by the peaceful tranquillity.

This truly is an uplifting place and the best part is that as a National Trust site it is free to members with non members just paying for the car park.

And our final secret, make your way through to the kiosk for a locally sourced hot sausage roll, they are second to none.

Open 7 days a week 8.00am to dusk. Kiosk is open weekends 11am to 5pm visit The National Trust website for more information.
