Chocolaty energy balls

These little protein packed balls are a perfect chocolaty hit to boost energy and satisfy any sugar cravings using natural sugars found in pecans and dates. A great go to quick snack!

Ingredients

180g Pecan Nuts

180g Dates

2 tbsp Almond Butter

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 tbsp Good Quality Cocoa Powder

Optional

2 tbsp Sesame Seeds

Method

Blitz the nuts in a food processor until they are a course powder, add the dates, almond butter, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of water and blend. The mixture will come together to form a sticky paste.

Roll the mixture into balls, then roll in the sesame seeds (if using).

Place them on a tray in the fridge to firm up.

These will keep in the fridge in an airtight container for about 2 weeks or can be frozen and taken out as required.
