Smoked salmon pate

This is a really simple dish that can be whipped up in minutes. It’s gorgeous as a starter or simple supper served with salad, fresh sour dough or toast. Or it makes a delicious canapé on rye bread cut into small squares topped with caviar.

Smoked Salmon Pate

200g Smoked Salmon

200g Cream Cheese

Juice and rind of half a lemon

Good Grind of Black Pepper

Options: Use lime juice and rind instead of lemon

Method

Put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz to your preferred consistency. A rougher pate works well for a starter or supper and a smoother pate for canapés.
